Foot/ankle pain! #mobilitymonday

A lot of suffer from foot, heel and/or ankle pain like Plantar Fascitis for example. Most of the time the problem is tight or weak lower leg muscles.
•
Here are some exercises and stretches that could help treat the root of the issue.
•
~ Foam roll calf
~ Proprioception(balance)
W/foam pad or Bosu Ball
~ Dorsiflexion w/band (neutral)
~ Dorsiflexion w/band (medial)
~ Dorsiflexion w/band (lateral)
~ Gastroc stretch
~ Soleus Stretch
~ Toe lifts
~ Seated weighted tempo
calf raises (not shown)

I wanna talk about something today that we don’t here enough of, and that’s stability! We’re told to improve our mobility, which is great, but good mobility and a weak joint and/or core can lead to injury. We need to strengthen the structures that stabilize our knees, hips, shoulders, trunk etc.
•
You know what that means... you gotta do that boring accessory work you hate!! So I’m gonna post a few movements for you guys today. I hope you like them. Let me know what you think.

Foam rollers are a great tool to add to your daily training and recovery regimen. They can be used before or after training sessions.
•
Foam rolling can help reduce pain and muscle soreness. It increases blood flow and oxygen to the tissues.
•
Common mistakes:
~ Spending too much time in one area
~ Only rolling length wise
•
Tips
~ Roll across the muscle fibers
~ Roll small sections at a time
~ Spend 20-30 sec on each body part
~ Target the calves, hips and lats
•
